In 2010, Linnehan’s Right Way Auto was launched by Chadd Linnehan–the 4th generation of the Linnehan family to own and operate an automobile business here in Maine. However, Chadd’s automobile career started many years earlier when he washed cars for his father’s Ford dealership in Ellsworth. It was at this dealership Chadd worked his way up and held several positions, including selling cars. Over the years, Chadd learned all aspects of the business from his father and grandfather, as well as built connections with the community. For about 10 years, Chadd managed the inventory purchasing for his father’s company–enabling him to develop a good network of sources to buy clean, low mileage inventory. With this experience and vision, Chadd designed a dealership that offers all the transparency that is available with modern technology, while at the same time stays true to the timeless values that are a part of his heritage.

We hand select vehicles, thoroughly check over the vehicles in our shop to make sure they are up to our standards, and provide a complimentary CARFAX Vehicle History Report on every vehicle. When we set out to design an automobile business, we kept coming back to the concept that we wanted to do business the “Right Way”, and treat our customers the “Right Way”. We eventually decided to make that the name of our business. In our mind, treating people the Right Way really boils down to treating our customers the way we would want to be treated if we were the buyer (the Golden Rule!) With that mindset, we designed a car buying process that eliminates the games, guesswork, and hassle.

We know that people don’t want to play games or be hassled when it comes to price. We price all of our vehicles fairly, and then clearly display that price on the vehicles and on the web. In addition, we do not charge any dealer doc fees – which is an immediate savings of around $500-$700 compared to most dealers in the area.
